I miss J. C. Penny

I spent the majority of yesterday searching for an inexpensive yet stylish casual cotton black button-up shirt. I visited H & M (2 locations), Express (2 locations), the Gap (2 locations), Eddie Bauer, American Eagle Outfitters, Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters, Macy’s, Daffy, and Century 21. And I couldn’t really find exactly what I was looking for (in black). I guess every other color is the new black.

I guess I didn’t end the day empty handed: I bought a blue plaid shirt (like I need another one of those) from the Seaport GAP. When I tried it on today, I could still smell the salt water and fish.

Hot pink is the new black! Or at least everyone is predicting it will be next season. Meanwhile I’ve been buying things in hot pink for the first time in my life since this spring. Armageddon may be approaching if I really have in fact become a trendsetter.
