Mad style from the Midwest.

It is pretty easy to spot a Midwesterner here in New York. They are the ones who have moved east, but depending on how much New York has influenced their style, still retain the subtle, comfortable and occasionally blasé look of back home.

Some friends and I were just arguing about what I should wear on my trip to New York (and if I should get a job in NYC) — they forbade me from wearing any plaid.

I wear plaid quite a lot. But I freely admit that I’m a candidate for “What Not To Wear.”
