Angel Technologies
Angel Technologies. I caught an interesting story on “All Things Considered” today about a company based out of St. Louis that hopes to provide high speed internet access to subscribers with “a wireless communications network hub aboard a High Altitude Long Operation (HALO) piloted, fixed-wing aircraft,” which will circle above the metro markets being served. The CEO estimated that T1-equivalent service could be around $10 a month.
I must admit I’m skeptical. This just doesn’t seem very practical or cost efficient to me. And what kind of uptime (no pun intended) do they hope to achieve? 24 hours a day?
