Student Student Senate Allocation Committee votes not to fund Kent State memorial. How apathetic are students today that they don’t care about the recent past? And how sad is it that this is the only event turned down by their funding board this year? But it’s not surprising when you read that 8 out of the 9 students on their funding board are self-identified Reupublicans. Is this just an example of conservative forces taking control of student politics? Or is it indicitive of the increading conservatism of today’s college age students? I’m afraid it’s the latter.
