The most important Buffy bits were that we discovered that Tara’s part demon … according to her family. It turns out that the men in the family have been using their female relations’ 20th birthday as an excuse to bully them into doing what they wanted. To make a long story short and summarize as much as possible, here’s what happened…
1) Evil lady-in-red sent demons off to get Buffy.
2) Tara cast a spell on the Scooby Club to make them not see her as a demon. It backfires, and they can’t see demons of any sort.
3) Tara’s family shows up in the midst of all this and makes lots of noise to bring her home, and she’s not leaving.
4) Spike hears that demons are going after Buffy and wants front row seat to fawn over Buffy, er, watch the fireworks.
5) Invisible demons attack. Everyone fights the air. Spike shows up to wail on demons, and he’s not seen either.
6) Tara shows up and breaks the spell. Fight over. Tara breaks down. Family shows up. Much consternation about Tara being a demon and having to go through Buffy et al to take her home.
7) Spike punches Tara. He doubles up with a load of head pain. Tara’s nose hurts, but she’s 100% human. Everyone deduces Tara’s male family member’s plan.
8) Birthday party for Tara @ Bronze. Willow and Tara dance … one foot above the floor. No kiss, though.
