MagazineLine.com

MagazineLine.com. Are you a student or university employee? If so, you can get some pretty good magazine subscription prices from MagazineLine.com. Today I ordered The Advocate, Out, Men’s Fitness, and Wired (I had to throw that last one in so I wouldn’t be such a typical gay man).

But being a typical gay man would be so atypical for where you are…

Curious, what does Wired have to do with not being the typical gay man? 🙂

Aren’t there studies that probe the IT field has more than it’s share of rasins in the bran?

Yes, there are many queers in the IT field, but that’s not one usually thinks of when they think of a “typical” gay man. They maybe think of The Advocate, OUT, and Men’s Fitness. There aren’t many out gay students on this campus, but the men that I’ve met do tend to fit into that clone pattern.

Most of the gays I know are in IT professions, or on their way into one. So when I think of a typical gay man, that /is/ what I think about. I’m always forgetting there are millions upon millions of gay men who’ve never seen the inside of a computer. For this, I am often considered strange. 🙂
