For the first time this semester, I went out tonight – instead of staying in on a Saturday night, pretending to do my homework.  I went over to my friend Ted‘s room to help him install his Ethernet card (even my night away had to involve some geeky computer activity) and we ended up going out to dinner at the China Buffet.  Then we went to Uncle Elizabeth’s for a drink.  3 beers was enough to put me out to pasture.  Ted is hopelessly committed to his boyfriend Dale.  I’m glad Ted is happy, but it continues to remind me how lonely I am.
