Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks
Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks. I decided to stay in tonight and watch the fireworks on TV (much more impressive than the piddly local show next to the Walmart). I couldn’t help but feel a swell of patriotism while listening to “Stars and Stripes Forever”… until the music segued to “We are Family” and people like Mike Myers kept superimposing over the corner of the screen and rambling on about freedom and heroes. But the fireworks show managed to redeem itself and I’m not embarrassed to admit I wiped away a little tear at the end of the National Anthem.
