In which Matt meets up with some old friends… Last night, some fellow grads of my library science program (including my best bud Chad) came to town for a visit. Though we all started at the same time, most of them are now over a year into their professional careers (while I’m finally graduating with degree #2 in 2 weeks).

It was just like old times. We had dinner at another friend’s house in town. We talked about issues like interet filtering and children’s summer reading programs. We went to the Crazy Horse for drinks.

But we also talked of upcoming weddings and other grownup stuff. Wow. And I’m even a year older than many of them!

In 3 weeks I officially start my first professional job. And then I’ll need to worry about paying back my student loans and setting up life insurance and a retirement plan. Oy!
