Wonder Woman’s Powers: As the Superheroine Turns 60, She Maintains Her Grip on the Psyche. Yes. I admit it. When I was a little boy, I used to twirl around and pretend that I could change into Lynda Carter… I mean Wonder Woman.

I also twirled around. Not only if I were playing outside, or alone in my room, but even if I were out with my mom at the grocery store. But I wanted to be Wonder Woman, not Lynda. I swear!
I also ran r-e-a-l-l-y slow, thinking I had bionics.
Bill | 18 Apr 2001Just read the article. Cool. Phil Jimenez is one of my favorite comic book artists, so I was glad when he started writing and drawing WW. I’ve been picking it up ever since (I think there’ve been four issues by him, so far).
Phil is out, and *very cute*. I got a sketch from him at a comic convention a few years ago; he did Donna Troy (aka Wonder Girl). Yay!

Bill | 18 Apr 2001Yes, I too twirled. I’ll even go one further and admit to at one time having a crush on Lyle Wagonner. But sheesh, I remember the first time I heard the theme song to the Lynda Carter TV version: “…in her satin tights, fighting for her rights…”. I was like, what, eight years old and going, “Man, that’s *really* lame.”
TheBrad | 18 Apr 2001My favorite: “Get us out from under, Wonder Woman!” Man, that comma was crucial, wasn’t it?
But what the hell does “Get us out from under” mean?

Whew…thank God I’m not the only one! My brother and I used to cut up cardboard wrapping-paper tubes to make bracelets. (Hmm, maybe I’ve said too much…)
