Taxes Suck

Or rather, waiting until the last minute to do your taxes suck. Filling out the forms today, I realized that my W2 doesn’t list the state taxes that were deducted from my paychecks. So now I have to pay New York State $311.13. Hopefully they’ll have that on record matched to my SSN and make sense of my note scrawled in the margin and send me a refund. Or maybe I’m just screwed.

Update: Nope, I was looking at the second page of W2 forms instead of the first. I still don’t understand why each of the little preforated tear-off copies don’t have the state tax deductions listed.
