Hit or Miss

Why we’re not one nation “under God.” Good background on the Pledge of Allegiance issue. For the record, I think “under God” should be dropped, but that doesn’t mean people won’t continue to say it in school (especially in the South).

Actually, I would ditch the “under God” and adjust the end to read “… with liberty and justice for all who can afford it.” That is not only an accurate assessment of the current state of American society, but it is something with which our corporate elite would most wholeheartedly agree.

I think we should keep “one nation under God” in our pledge it says in the Bible, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord”
