Link and Think 2001. In observance of World AIDS Day, this weblog abandoned its regular content on December 1 and posted the following message:
“…[please] take time and think about how AIDS has impacted the world, to think about how your sexual behavior might put you at risk, to think about getting tested, and to think about how you can help to end the epidemic.
As I put up this page, I realize I haven’t thought about AIDS a lot in the past year. Living in rural Missouri without any sexual partners, I feel a false sense of isolation from the plague. But I’m sure that somewhere, it’s entirely possible that someone I know and love could have contracted HIV and may not even realize it yet.
