The best thing about summer

The best thing about summer.

    Step 1: chop in half.
    Step 2: lightly salt.
Step 3: eat with a spoon.

I’ve always salted my avacodos, but a student recently told me that when she studied abroad in Brazil, people would dust them with sugar. I’ll have to try that. Yum.

Cut in half, spoon into bowl, mix in guacamole (spelling?) seasoning, mash to a pulp with fork, get tostitos and go to town!

How about this… Chop in half, drizzle with fresh-sqeezed lemon juice, let stand for five minutes, eat with a spoon… the lemon juice draws out a lot of the natural sugars. Mmm. Also… Chop into chunks, combine with milk, ice and banana in blender… chill thoroughly in fridge, drink. The avocado adds a creaminess to the banana smoothy that I really like. And when you’re all done, don’t forget to stick the pit with toothpicks and set over a glass of water! Ahh… 6th grade biology tricks… those were the days…
