My roommate got one before they took them off the market (don’t know if they ever did), and they played cds burned with mp3s like a charm. Not a bad quality dvd player, either. Glad to see Apex didn’t stop. I know what I want to covet now. 😛

They haven’t had any trouble, but they also haven’t tried to play any MP3 CDs yet. I’m not sure what they’re waiting for! (Maybe a CD burner…)

The first AD660 was DOA out of the box; I tried several recent DVDs and it would play, then in a few minutes the screen went to snow or green, and the unit locked up. I had to power off to restart and got the same. Also during play it would change to a different language by itself. So, I returned the unit to Sams and they gave me another one. NO PROBLEM. The second player works without a hitch. I have not yet checked if it works on VCD or SVCD, but this is a MUST for me. I BOUGHT A 1 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY EXTENSION FROM SAMS FOR ONLY $5.00…WELL WORTH THE PEACE OF MIND.
