My first emergency situation as a hall director And fortunately, it isn’t particularly life threatening.

Earlier this afternoon, the city was testing fire hydrants or something and caused three water mains to my building to burst (how I wish I had a nice digital camera to capture all the emergency trucks and such). Thus, my hall is now without water and may be until tomorrow. Unfortunately, we’re all alone over on this side of campus, so we’re still trying to figure out where our 600+ residents are going to shower and poop.

Once the water does come back on, we’ll be on a boil alert for 48 hours. So, we’re also trying to arrange for temporary drinking water supplies.

I’m probably going to continue to worry and fuss over this for a day or two, so I may not be posting anything for a while.
