Is it just me?
Or does Domino’s Bad Andy (sample commercial) remind you of Levis’ Flat Eric?
Or does Domino’s Bad Andy (sample commercial) remind you of Levis’ Flat Eric?
I was having this very discussion yesterday with one of my friends. It looks like a blatant rip-off of Levi’s idea. I haven’t figured out where Andy came from, nor do I understand why the pizza delivery guy enjoys taking showers wearing his Dominoe’s hat.
jay | 20 Jun 2000I personally hate the commercials.. They are dumb and annoying.. Thats why I made “Good Andy, Bad Pizza” t-shirts… You can order one from my site: http://www.ayun.net/nomadik/store.html and rebel in style!
Jesse Acosta | 6 Dec 2000How can you dislike that sweet little thing. He is so cute, and what makes him so cool is that he does bad things and thinks its nice! Well, you won (for now) Domino’s got rid of him because of people like you without a sense of humor! Those commercials were funny and entertaining – come on – Andy rules!!!!
Mary Smith | 24 Mar 2001For those of you who want Bad Andy back. E-mail Domino’s at their home page “complaints” – let them know you want Andy back. If enough people respond, he may come back. The reason Andy ceased was as Domino’s put it, “overwhelming negative response by consumers.” Well if they have an “overwhelming response” to bring him back maybe they will. After all, Andy was the only good thing about Dominoes – you must admit – their pizza is terrible!!
Mary Smith | 24 Mar 2001I really like Andy! He is the cutest thing. I think they should bring Andy Back!
Sheila | 21 Oct 2001Mary Smith is right: the only good thing about Domino’s Pizza was Bad Andy. Bring him back! Incidentally, so what if he’s similar to Flat Eric? The world needs more cool monkeys (and less crappy pizza).
Iso Vam | 22 Mar 20021,000 Tickets at the Seaside Heights NJ Fun Pier… Well, thats where I got mine atleast!
Andy is SO cool!

Not only annoying, it seems irrelevant to have a monkey on a commercial for pizza. The commercial I’ve seen is the one where they introduce everyone, and then they all go.. “Andy!” Which makes no sense if he didn’t do anything. And that’s the whole plot of the commercial, and the basis of the slogan, “Bad Andy, good pizza.” Maybe it’s an inside joke of the pizza people. But it’s kind of mean for them not to let us know the funny or cool part. Jerks.
