Shannon and Bertie crashed my room tonight so they could watch Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?  I have nothing but the utmost contempt for the show… but I have to admit I found it a little appealing – if just to ridicule the contestants.  We actually had a lot fun calling all the contestants “tools.” (note to friend Ellen, I wouldn’t have made fun of you if you had gotten on!)

Bertie and Shannon don’t believe it, but I’m convinced the 25 year-old contestant David was gay and was there with a boyfriend.  They asked me to explain why I thought so, but I don’t think gaydar can be explained (thought he did have two earings…).

Afterwards, they stayed around to watch ER and try calling the 1-800 number to qualify as a contestant (but they never got through).
