Coupons?
I’ve been using DVD Price Search to find coupons for a variety of online shoppes (like Amazon, CDNow, and Reel.com) that sell DVD titles – of course, I’ve been using the coupons to by CDs.
What I’d really like to find is a similar website that collects coupons for the different online bookseller and CD shops. Can anyone clue me in on such a site?

The last week of class sucks
I’ve finally finished and turned in two major semester long projects for my networking and my databases classes. Now I’ve just got a short paper due Thursday. Then, I have to stay here all through exam week to help lock up my dorm – even though I only have one exam.

I’d gotten this free sample of Biore deep cleansing strips a while ago, but didn’t try using them until today.  Wow.  I can’t believe how much gross gunk is in your pores!  I highly recommend them now.

Living in the Bonus Round
Last night Steve Schalchlin performed his one-man show, Living in the Bonus Round here at IU as part of AIDS Awareness Week. Quite simply, Steve made me cry and he made me laugh. Not only are his music and words incredibly moving, but Steve’s a highly skilled songwriter as well. In addition, Steve is an incredibly sincere and touching performer. What’s more, he’s a weblogger! He’s been keeping an online journal of his experience living with AIDS.
And Mark, I said howdy to Steve from you.

Previously I’ve written in my weblog about yk2 (I write it in lowercase so it’s less intimidating) preparedness for Catholics and pets. Now, help your babysitter battle the millenium bug.

RENT, second time around
I think it’s appropriate on World AIDS Day to mention that I saw the musical RENT last night. It was (mostly) the same cast I saw last semester in Indianapolis. And other than a few mic problems, the production has greatly improved – lots of new stage bits and new characterizations that weren’t simply carbon copies of the original cast, but personal interpretations of the role.
Because this is AIDS Awareness Week, the death of Angel was particularly heartwrenching.
I got to thinking about how AIDS has been treated in the musical theatre and I am glad that it has gotten any coverage at all. Before RENT, William Finn’s Falsettos trilogy broke new ground by concluding with the AIDS related death of Marvin’s partner, Whizzer. More recently, songwriter Steve Schalchlin has turned his real life experience into The Last Session (Steve will be performing his one-man show Living in the Bonus Round here at IU on Thursday).
